Responsibilities
Design machine controls and component layouts to meet customer design specs
Program machine controllers to operate efficiently
Evaluate inside/outside design capabilities
Supply accurate and timely support documents
Maintain organized records of drawings, approvals, customer interaction, etc. per assigned job
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, production manager, engineering director and support service technicians during machine start up/installation at customer site
Qualification
Required
B. S. in Controls Engineering or similar field
2-3 years experience in machine tools or related industry
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc PLCs and HMI software
Strong analytical skills: Able to compile data into useable form, recognize patterns in data, information or events, draw logical conclusions and make recommendations for action
Must be self-motivated, self-directed and possess strong organizational skills
Preferred
Experience with internal combustion engines or powertrains a plus
EPlan design software a plus
