Responsibilities
Updating of SUTA rates
Account Registration for clients
Special Assessment for certain states
Process monthly filings for varied numbered states by 15th or 20th of each month
Maintenance of monthly filing spreadsheet
Update SUTA rates & quarterly RTS Schedules
Prepare, review deposit analyses for all state income tax
FTP/W2 processes (First quarter of each year)
Run quarterly tax reports for certain tax codes for certain states
Run BLS/MWR (Bureau of Labor Statistics and Multiple Work Site Reports) reports to send to those states requiring MWR
Reconcile payroll tax reporting on a quarterly and annual basis
UTA rates, Quarterly/Annual RTS reports; Year-end File Maintenance; preliminary reports for W2 file and issuance; HSA limits review; other special state assessments
Adherence to federal, state and local tax regulations and requirements, in order to complete tax payments and the filing of tax returns in a timely manner
Recalculations; updating billing rates; tax adjustments as required by Payroll; process daily tax payments from MasterTax; payment of federal and state tax deposits; account registration for all clients; successor wage schedule for
Qualification
Required
High level Excel proficiency (pivot tables, v-look up, if statements)
Familiarity with MasterTax, an ADP product – required
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with heightened attention to detail and prioritization of duties
Experience with payroll tax filings and electronic payroll systems
Preferred
Familiarity with Prism, payroll software product
Previous PEO experience or payroll tax experience
