Director of Corporate Communications

Making key decisions regarding media relations strategy, including rapid response strategies for media inquiries
Generating narrative strategies, executing communications tactics and managing media relationships
Supporting the corporate communications efforts of the company

Required

10–12 years of experience in communications, either in-house or agency
Excellent writing skills and significant media relations experience
Corporate communications experience
Ability to work on confidential projects with discretion
Proven ability to deliver communications in fast-paced, highly dynamic environments
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting effectively with executives and teams enterprise-wide
Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across a global company
Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential projects
Willingness to take on greater responsibilities and grow in the role
Availability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed
BA/BS degree in journalism, English, creative writing, communications/public relations or related field required

Preferred

In-depth knowledge of the media industry and related issues
Financial communications experience
Litigation communications experience
Experience at the parent company level of a publicly-traded company
