Responsibilities

Serve as the strategic leader for Hydrite’s boiler and cooling tower water treatment programs, collaborating closely with Sales, Account Managers, and Technical Service Specialists to identify opportunities, set priorities, and deliver exceptional technical service
Act as the technical expert for boiler and cooling tower water treatment at Hydrite sites, providing direct support, troubleshooting, and recommendations to ensure best-in-class system operation and regulatory compliance
Develop and manage a robust product line tailored to boiler and cooling tower water treatment applications, including margin management, product formulations, pricing strategies, and vendor selection to optimize performance and cost
Support and further develop equipment, digital programs and overall technology offerings for water treatment customers
Lead cross-functional teams—including purchasing, R&D, equipment, and support departments—to drive innovation, streamline processes, and ensure seamless execution of water treatment solutions
Lead and continue to develop technical training curriculum
Build and maintain strong relationships with chemical and equipment suppliers to stay ahead of industry trends and introduce cutting-edge technologies for boiler and cooling tower applications
Design and deliver technical training programs and seminars to elevate the expertise of the water treatment team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Act as a proactive partner to sales representatives, qualifying leads, supporting joint customer calls, and helping close business that aligns with Hydrite’s strategic goals and service capabilities
Review and enhance technical proposals and service reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with best practices in boiler and cooling tower water treatment
Represent Hydrite at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations, positioning the company as a leader in water treatment for boilers and cooling towers
Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant
Regular attendance is essential
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned
Work with other staff members to maintain workload balances. Provide back-up support as necessary
Support effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biology) required
Minimum five years of industry experience in water treatment for boilers and cooling towers preferred
Demonstrated strategic thinking, cross-functional leadership, and ability to energize teams
Strong problem-solving, sales, and technical skills in water treatment chemical applications
Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and leadership abilities
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
