Responsibilities
Facilitate data governance workgroups and data stewardship meetings, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders across the organization to define and refine business rules, reference data management standards, and business requirements for data warehouse system enhancements
Lead the analysis, management and documentation of the organization’s data assets, ensuring that they are properly classified, stored and maintained
Perform testing, impact analysis and shift analysis of proposed changes to business rules, line of business crosswalks, and derived fields in the enterprise data warehouse
Address data-related questions and concerns regarding data warehouse data management and governance, providing guidance on best practices
Work closely with data acquisition, data enrichment, data delivery and data management teams to ensure the successful implementation of data governance solutions
Perform data governance reviews to ensure compliance with established business rules and legal/regulatory requirements
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and make recommendations for improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information systems, data analytics, computer science, or a healthcare-related field
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in the healthcare industry, focused on business systems analysis and data governance
Advanced understanding of data warehouse databases, business intelligence reporting, and structured query language (SQL)
Familiarity with data governance principles, practices, and tools
Preferred
