Administrative Clerk (Part Time)
Lawrence Park Township is seeking an Administrative Clerk to provide clerical support to the Township administration and the Lawrence Park Police Department. The role focuses on customer service, records management, and various clerical duties.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Provide courteous, professional customer service to Township residents and visitors
Answer phones and emails, respond to routine inquiries, and direct questions appropriately
Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry
Accept and process payments for zoning permits, parking tickets, and occasional licenses
Issue receipts and maintain accurate payment records
Assist the Police Department with parking enforcement administration and recordkeeping
Maintain confidentiality when handling administrative or police records
Support Township records management and document organization
Assist with updates to the Township website and social media pages
Assist with drafting public notices and informational materials
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
Ability to work independently and interact professionally with the public
Ability to pass a background check and obtain access to CHRIA-protected information
Preferred
2–3 years of clerical, administrative, or public-facing office experience preferred
Experience handling payments or basic receipting preferred
Familiarity with municipal operations or police administrative support is a plus
