STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a hands-on DevSecOps Engineer to develop and maintain secure, automated infrastructure and cloud solutions. This role focuses on cloud security, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, with opportunities to innovate and optimize security early in the application and platform lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Act as a security SME for application teams and assist with integrating new/existing security tools
Review and advise on architectural decisions with a security focus
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation and Terraform
Build automation with Ansible for AMI and Docker image hardening
Implement Kubernetes network and service mesh policies to secure clusters
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar tools
Conduct R&D on new cloud offerings , security tooling, and automation processes
Produce best practices, example code, and documentation for internal teams
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule

Required

5+ years IT experience with 4+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps
2+ years working with Kubernetes in production (deployment strategies, hardening, observability)
2+ years experience in containerized environments (Docker)
Strong experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (Lambda, EC2, VPC, security & monitoring)
2+ years in security engineering: implementing controls and reviewing architectures
Ability to present technical solutions to other teams and coordinate dependencies
Must be a US Citizen

Preferred

Experience with service mesh orchestration (Istio, Linkerd)
Strong DevSecOps practices: integrating security into CI/CD, IaC, and configuration management
Experience managing DevOps tools, pipelines, and artifact repositories
Comfortable shifting security early in development and optimizing observability
