Sr. Learning and Development Specialist

The Sr. Learning and Development Specialist is responsible for designing and delivering learning programs that enhance employee skills and competencies, while also managing the overall L&D strategy across the organization.

Responsibilities

Consults and partners with business leaders, HR, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify and address learning priorities
Designs engaging end-to-end learning solutions; creates project plans and manages key stakeholder expectations to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
Develops learning programs, workshops and materials that align with the organization’s goals and meet specific needs of employees
Facilitates in-person and virtual training sessions focusing on professional and leadership skills required for success
Leverages technology, including authoring tools and other digital resources to develop and deliver eLearning solutions. These include videos, learning modules, and hybrid courses for various audiences
Assists with defining and implementing measurement approaches for evaluating the usage, effectiveness, and impact of learning solutions. Tracks and reports metrics related to L&D, including training participation, completion rates, training evaluations, performance outcomes, etc
Conducts regular evaluations of training programs to assess their effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
Creates communication materials and content to promote L&D programs, fostering a learning culture
Supports the continuous improvement of learning programs, including the onboarding content and process, by leveraging feedback, best practices, and innovative learning technologies to enhance employee engagement and retention
Promotes the L&D strategy by developing strong business partnerships with operations and corporate leaders
Supports the implementation and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) to track and manage training programs
Manages vendor relationships to ensure outsourced projects meet objectives, timelines, and budget
Ensures all Learning and Development programs align with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Drives and supports a culture of continuous learning, growth, and a positive learning environment across the organization
Stays current in industry research, theory, trends, methods, and techniques and serves as subject matter expert and consultant
Assists with the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies that contribute to modern, world-class learning experiences and evolving the L&D strategy in alignment with industry practices

Required

Minimum of 8 years' experience in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement large-scale Learning & Development programs
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies
Ability to work independently and manage high levels of ambiguity
Self-motivated and disciplined to meet deadlines with competing priorities and projects
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to engage diverse audiences
A customer-focused approach to working with stakeholders is critical for success
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, from front-line workers to senior executives
Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Work effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms and authoring tools
Critical thinking, adaptability, and consulting skills will be needed to work through constant change, new information and emerging challenges

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
Leadership development experience
Experience working with competency frameworks, such as Korn Ferry's KFLA
