Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Plano, TX. This role focuses on ensuring resilience, automation, and observability for enterprise integration platforms while maintaining and modernizing integration stacks and contributing to strategic migration initiatives.

Responsibilities

Operate, optimize, monitor, and scale integration and messaging platforms including MuleSoft, Apache Camel, Tibco, and Kafka (MSK)
Provide support for in-house developed APIs and COTS applications/platforms such as Document Management Systems and Rightfax
Build and maintain components to automate operational workflows and reduce toil using Python or equivalent scripting languages
Define and manage SLIs/SLOs, health checks, and automated remediation processes
Establish and manage observability and monitoring using tools like Dynatrace, CloudWatch, and logging systems
Collaborate across teams to ensure service reliability, deployment hygiene, and operational readiness
Conduct incident postmortems and implement fixes to prevent repetitive issues
Participate in on-call rotations and major incident restoration efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
Strong understanding of SRE concepts: SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, incident response
Hands-on experience with two or more integration platforms such as Kafka (MSK/Confluent), TIBCO, MuleSoft, or Apache Camel
Proficiency in Python or equivalent scripting for automation
Experience in API development using Java or similar programming languages
Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace
Knowledge of integration security standards (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)
Background in enterprise middleware, event-driven architecture, or hybrid cloud integration
