Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. is seeking to fill a position for a 3rd shift Quality Control role. This position involves monitoring and documenting quality control measures to ensure the specifications of incoming and finished products are met.

Responsibilities

Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting a visual and measurement test, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Verify in-process production by confirming required specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating the required adjustments to the Treating Operator and Supervisor
Sample all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests on Lumber
Identify and segregate products for re-work and complete documentation to confirm re-work
Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs
Maintain a safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with company policies
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Learn the Treating Process and assist operator in daily operations tasks
