Responsibilities

Own the complete product lifecycle roadmap for residential circuit protection products, including surge protective devices (SPD), thermal magnetic circuit breakers, GFCI devices, AFCI breakers, and load centers
Act as the entrepreneurial force behind your product lines, developing portfolio strategies tailored to the residential contractor and distributor channels
Define project scopes and create robust business cases to outpace competitors in profit and market share within the residential electrical market
Oversee project execution with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Sales
Orchestrate successful product launches targeting residential contractors and electrical distributors, and lead phase-out activities efficiently
Develop and manage pricing structures for residential products, conduct comprehensive financial planning, and make data-driven decisions impacting multi-million-dollar profit targets
Serve as a primary technical point of contact for key distributor partners and large residential contractors
Proactively identify evolving residential market needs, translate NEC code changes into actionable product requirements, and engage with the residential sales channel to optimize go-to-market strategies
Monitor and interpret National Electrical Code (NEC) changes and their impact on residential circuit protection requirements
Translate regulatory updates into product development opportunities and position products effectively for code-driven market shifts

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or other STEM field); other degrees accepted with a minimum of 4 years of directly relevant electrical industry experience
4+ years of experience with product management, design engineering, application engineering, or related roles within residential electrical distribution and circuit protection
Technical understanding of residential low-voltage electrical products, including circuit breakers, surge protection devices, load centers, and related residential circuit protection applications
Understanding of residential electrical distribution channels, including electrical distributors, wholesalers, and contractor markets
Hands-on experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) processes
Demonstrated understanding of business, ownership mentality, and urgency in getting results
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, Business Development)
Gathering, interpreting, and acting on voice of customer (VOC) insights from contractors and distributors
Financial analysis capability, including pricing management and business case development
Strong analytical abilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to travel approximately 20% (1–2 times per month) for customer visits, distributor events, trade shows, and training
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred

Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements for residential applications, particularly related to GFCI, AFCI, surge protection, and grounding/bonding requirements
Experience in residential construction, electrical contracting, or distribution sales
Familiarity with UL standards relevant to circuit protection devices (UL 489, UL 1449, UL 943, UL 1053)
Understanding of residential electrification trends, including EV charging, solar integration, and smart home technologies
Broader experience across sales, business development, finance, or operations
Experience with data tools like Tableau or Power BI
Experience influencing product changes and shaping long-term product strategy in response to market and regulatory changes
