Production Manager
Hayden Industrial is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations for their Tulsa, OK facility. This role is critical for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and meeting project timelines while leading a team and managing budgets.
Responsibilities
Enforce workplace safety regulations and maintain a safe production environment
Conduct regular safety audits and provide necessary training to staff
Plan, coordinate, and control all aspects of production to ensure efficient manufacturing processes
Manage the production schedule to meet customer demands and project deadlines while optimizing resource utilization
Own cost control by monitoring labor, material usage, and overheads; implement initiatives to improve margins and reduce waste
Lead, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Monitor employee performance, provide regular feedback, and implement development plans as needed
Ensure all products meet company quality standards and industry specifications
Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and address defects or process inefficiencies
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions, implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies as appropriate
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to maintain or improve efficiency
Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize downtime
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all machinery operates at peak efficiency
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams to align production capabilities with business needs
Act as the primary liaison between production and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
Interface directly with customers as needed to provide technical updates, resolve production-related issues, and support relationship building
Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
Analyze production costs and recommend strategies to improve profitability
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of air-cooled heat exchanger manufacturing processes and materials
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies
Strong leadership and team management abilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the HVAC or heat exchanger industry
