IT Consultant - System Administrator (Hybrid)
Sigma Information Group, Inc. has been providing technology services to clients in Austin and throughout the US since 2000. The IT Consultant will manage technology infrastructures for multiple clients, supporting and maintaining servers, desktops, and network equipment while ensuring high levels of service and communication.

Responsibilities
Maintain healthy working relationships with multiple customers, manage customer expectations, and regularly communicate project status to customer contacts
Understand customer business processes and goals and recommend technology solutions to improve those processes or achieve those goals
Manage and plan complex technology projects including coordinating internal and external resources
Task and project item delegation
Runs internal and external status meetings to maintain project progress
Deploy complex solutions involving a variety of technologies from the below “Preferred Technical Skills/Knowledge” list
Builds new network and server environments, including the physical installation of network, server, and desktop equipment
Manage, maintain, and upgrade existing servers, networks, and desktops
Solve technical problems including server and desktop hardware issues, desktop viruses, software deployments, and software problems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or 2-3 years of IT management experience
Minimum 1 year as a network/system administrator, IT manager, or IT consultant
Prior experience handling multiple customers at an IT consultancy or MSP is a big plus
Knowledge of common business operating systems and applications, including Windows, Windows Server, and Office
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interface professionally with customer executives and employees
Ability to see problems through to resolution and communicate progress and results to customers
High degree of autonomy and ability to self-manage is required
Physically capable of picking up and moving computer hardware
Must reside in Austin, TX, or the surrounding area, to accommodate client onsite visits
