Project 26 Pennsylvania is focused on empowering Gen-Z to engage in the political process. The Digital Organizer will lead a team of Digital Fellows to create engaging content and strategies aimed at mobilizing young voters for the upcoming elections.

Responsibilities

Hire a team of Digital Fellows who will:

Build our own social media following and engagement through working with professional social media & comms strategists

Film and edit short-form (up to 3 min) creative videos that will help mobilize students for Pennsylvania’s 2026 elections

Film and edit short-ish form (up to 5 min) creative content to educate and mobilize Gen-Z on YouTube

Create static content and designs that will engage and educate student voters

Build regional social media strategies and amplify key content to engage youth voters around PA’s 2026 elections

Review content created by digital fellows and content plans for accuracy and compliance

Manage social media accounts for project 26 on Instagram, Youtube, TikTok and Discord

Develop platform-specific civic education content plan for 2026

Required

Be comfortable being on camera

Be eager to find niche and/or untold stories

Understand the correct tone & pace for short-form video

Thrive in fast-changing environments and know how to stay focused even when circumstances feel uncertain

Are excited and eager to talk with lots of students (and are especially comfortable creating and being featured on camera)

Create content that sounds natural & organic, rather than scripted & pre-informed

Ensure brand consistency across platforms

Stay current with pop culture and politics-related trends on social media and be able to adapt them to our P26 brand

Demonstrate an ability to condense information into under a minute in a way that is interesting to those with limited knowledge and/or interest of politics

Have a passion for using political engagement to build a future when Gen-Z can thrive and be ready to jump in and inspire young people to get involved

Be excited to think outside the box and to ideate and innovate to find the most exciting and effective content to mobilize youth voters in your region

Be eager to talk to as many students as possible (and be comfortable talking to a lot of strangers/potential volunteers) in person and online

Be creative and flexible; able to manage several tasks simultaneously

Be exceptionally well-organized, and have strong time management skills

Be enrolled at a Pennsylvania college or university and/or a Pennsylvania resident
