Quality Systems Technician

Advantage Technical is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Systems Technician to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for coordinating and maintaining all government, regulatory, and compliance documentation across multiple business units and supporting Quality Management System compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation structure to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Ensure organizational compliance with applicable regulatory standards, including FAA, CAA, JAA, and EASA
Control organizational documentation, including review, approval, release, revision, and obsolescence
Collaborate with process owners and subject matter experts to develop, revise, and control quality documentation
Distribute and communicate document releases, changes, and obsolescence notices
Champion the submission and maintenance of PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) for current production parts
Maintain and update PMA requirements as needed
Monitor and interpret regulatory compliance changes; communicate impacts to leadership
Coordinate and communicate regulatory changes and requirements from governing agencies
Perform internal audits and maintain the Internal Audit Schedule
Support third-party and regulatory audits, investigations, and inquiries
Qualify new raw materials and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality specifications
Assist with regulatory compliance assessments, customer compliance surveys, and control recommendations
Review proposed regulatory agency activities and assess potential impact on operations
Provide guidance to quality personnel regarding FAA, CAA, JAA, and EASA requirements
Champion the generation of FAA 8130-3 Airworthiness Approval Tags
Maintain DMIR certification with the FAA
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Quality Objectives
Follow established policies, procedures, AS9100 standards, and environmental, health, and safety requirements
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical, Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a highly regulated compliance environment
Minimum of 3 years of auditing experience and/or AS9100 certification with at least 1 year of hands-on experience
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong prioritization ability
Strong leadership, project management, and relationship-management skills
Self-motivated with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
