Responsibilities
Install and set up telephone, internet, and fiber optic services at customer locations
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the continued functionality of installed systems
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
Conduct repairs on faulty equipment, cables, and connections to restore services promptly
Interact with customers professionally, addressing inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
Ensure adherence to company standards and quality benchmarks in all installation and repair tasks
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting telephone, internet, and fiber optic systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction
Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
Ability to work in physically demanding environments, climb poles or ladders, and lift heavy equipment
Collaborative mindset to work effectively with other technicians and support teams
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency repair situations
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Must be willing to travel as needed to meet customer needs
May be required to pass background check via fingerprinting. Only applicable to techs providing services in New York State
1-3 years of experience in telecommunications or technology related field
Preferred
Technical certification or associate degree preferred
Experience in customer service support role
