Responsibilities
Define and drive the long-term data architecture vision for the organization
Lead digital transformation initiatives centered around data and analytics
Align data architecture strategies with business objectives and technological innovations
Provide expert guidance on complex, enterprise-wide data challenges
Spearhead research initiatives in emerging data technologies and architectural paradigms
Develop proof-of-concepts for cutting-edge data solutions
Collaborate with academic institutions and technology partners on advanced data concepts
Drive the adoption of next-generation data architectures within the industry
Shape enterprise-wide data governance policies and standards
Develop strategies for managing data as a strategic asset
Lead initiatives to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across the organization
Ensure alignment of data architecture practices with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Represent the organization at high-profile industry events and conferences
Publish articles, whitepapers, or books on advanced data architecture concepts
Participate in industry standards committees and professional organizations
Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and industry leaders
Mentor senior data professionals and develop the next generation of data leaders
Provide expert consultation to executive leadership on data-related decisions
Foster a culture of innovation and excellence in data management practices
Facilitate knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across the organization
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in enterprise data architecture or engineering, with a strong focus on data platforms and MDM implementation
Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale data systems in cloud-native environments
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
Preferred
Experience in regulated industries such as banking, healthcare, or insurance
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills
Passion for emerging technology and a bias for experimentation and delivery
Player-coach mindset - able to lead by example while rolling up your sleeves when needed
Low ego and highly collaborative, with a focus on shared success and continuous learning
