Regulatory Analyst

The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to join the Office of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs. The Analyst II will perform complex duties related to monitoring and analyzing rulemaking packages, preparing reports, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Monitoring, tracking, reviewing, and analyzing rulemaking packages across all DIR Divisions and Units
Preparing reports and briefing management on the progress of rulemaking packages
Attending public hearings, advisory committees, and other meetings discussing rulemaking activities
Working with staff within DIR and at other agencies to file rulemaking packages

Required

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but they must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment
To be considered for this Analyst II job opportunity, applicants must be either reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility or have reinstatement eligibility
Applicants must meet the Minimum Qualifications stated in the Classification Specification(s)
Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available)
SROA and Surplus candidates are given priority; therefore, individuals with other eligibility may be considered in the event no SROA or Surplus candidates apply
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s)
