Responsibilities
Act as the CEO’s primary operational partner, managing all logistics, scheduling, and communication flow
Steward the executive calendar—not just booking time, but proactively protecting focus, energy, and recovery
Anticipate downstream impacts, identify conflicts early, and recommend tradeoffs
Translate vision into actionable plans, timelines, and systems with clear accountability
Manage personal and household logistics (as needed), including travel, appointments, and vendor coordination
Leverage tools like Basecamp (or similar) for project tracking, visibility, and follow-through
Support cross-functional team coordination and overflow scheduling when needed
Actively manage time as a strategic asset
Qualification
Required
10+ years supporting senior executives, founders, or CEOs in complex, fast-moving environments
Proven success protecting leadership time and anticipating needs across work and life
Confident communicator—comfortable pushing back with clarity and professionalism when needed
System thinker—able to track moving parts and close loops without hand-holding
Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to change, and calm under pressure
Preferred
Experience in a founder-led, high-growth, or startup environment is a plus
Chicago-based with ability to attend in-person meetings occasionally
