VCU Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Tech I to work with experienced BMETs in the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment. The role involves maintaining clinical equipment and performing routine tasks associated with biomedical equipment management.

Required

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, with at least zero points

High School Diploma or equivalent

Conducts repairs according to procedures

Maintain inventory and par levels of all instruments and supplies

Follows OSHA and TJC guidelines

On call Rotation and occasional weekend, shift rotations as work demands

Physical: Lifting 20-50 lbs. Lifting 50-100 lbs

Activities: Prolonged standing, Prolonged sitting, Frequent bending, Walking (distance), Climbing (steps, ladder, other), Reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive), Repetitive motion

Mental/Sensory: Strong recall, Reasoning, Problem solving, Hearing, Speak clearly, Write legibly, Reading, Logical thinking

Emotional: Fast pace environment, Steady pace, Able to handle multiple priorities, Frequent and intense customer interactions, Able to adapt to frequent change

Preferred

Minimum of two (2) years experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic equipment and/or medical equipment

Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics or related field
