Responsibilities

Develop manufacturing drawings from hardware templates, elevation drawings and drawing requests

Create product literature drawings, maintain production databases and collaborate with various departments to answer drawing and product questions

Create designs and drawings from hardware manufacturer’s templates, sketches, and engineering guidelines to support orders in a quick-turnaround environment

Create and modify drawings per requests from Manufacturing, Engineering and Customer Service

Contact hardware manufacturers by email and telephone to resolve questions

Provide designs and drawings for fixturing to aid manufacturing

Document changes and answers to questions as required

Perform other duties as required

Qualification

CAD experienceSolidWorksPDM SoftwareSheet metal manufacturingVerbal communicationWritten communicationOrganizational skillsTeam player

Required

Ability to read hardware templates, drawings, and follow guidelines to create manufactured drawings

Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes

Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written

Detail oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills

A dynamic team player who participates and works collaboratively with others

Preferred

Associates Drafting degree or equivalent with CAD experience preferred

Knowledge of SolidWorks and PDM Software plus previous related work experience is preferred
