Responsibilities
Create or maintain records of financial transactions for upstream oil and gas clients using various accounting systems
Involvement with daily bookkeeping: reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances; reconcile and balance accounts
Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system
Provide support for audits by external entities, preparing supporting schedules, gathering information, and providing analysis as requested
May be involved with recording AP, Joint Interest Billing, and Revenue transactions for oil and gas clients as needed
Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and revenue with the potential to prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position
Verify contracts, orders, and vouchers and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in accounting or a related field is required
4+ years of full-charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience is required
Experience in account reconciliations and general ledger experience is required
Ability to identify and resolve financial issues
Enjoy complex and challenging project work and willing to work on a variety of strategic, financial, and operational projects
Ability to successfully interact with clients and other professionals to effectively deliver quality professional services to clients
Preferred
Experience with BOLO, EnergyLink, and OpenInvoice is preferred
Experience in upstream oil and gas is preferred
