InternSelf-Help Credit Union is focused on affordable housing development and banking services. They are seeking a Real Estate Project Management Intern to assist in evaluating potential affordable housing sites and supporting predevelopment work on ongoing projects.
Banking
Responsibilities
Support the creation of financial models to assess the feasibility of sites
Participate in site analysis projects to determine if a site is better suited for small-unit development, larger-scale public subsidies or other low-income tax credits
Participate in site visits to assess property conditions
Cottage court zoning research, in select rural communities within the Self-Help Credit Union footprint
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate or graduate student, recent graduates welcome to apply
Demonstrate a sincere interest in community development, non-profit work, education, advocacy, or affordable housing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
An enthusiasm for learning
Strong attention to detail
