Marine Operations Coordinator
Core Group Resources is seeking a Marine Operations Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for vessel crews, customers, and trade partners. This role involves coordinating vessel schedules and managing logistics operations to enhance operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Manage vessel schedules across multiple ports, ensuring timely and safe operations
Actively monitor and update proprietary logistics software to track vessel movements and cargo details
Communicate effectively with vessel agents regarding schedules, vessel particulars, and operational updates
Coordinate loadings and deliveries with cargo terminals and trade partners to optimize throughput
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to schedule vessel maintenance and inspections
Input and track cargo and bunker nominations, finalize orders, and verify job completion for billing accuracy
Maintain strong communication with customers via phone and email, generating delivery schedules and resolving issues proactively
Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients, providing reliable support and problem-solving expertise
Communicate in real-time with vessel crews, troubleshoot operational issues, and relay emergency or incident reports swiftly
Support chartering activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Logistics department
Serve as a point of contact for external parties, ensuring seamless coordination and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree required
1-2 years of logistics experience, ideally within the maritime industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and strong computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Keen attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Critical thinking skills and the ability to handle multiple moving components under pressure
Customer service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work overtime and be flexible with working weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
Work schedule involves four 10-hour days per week, with remote weekend shifts, offering a balanced work-life dynamic
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred—with a maritime focus strongly preferred
Operational experience in maritime settings is highly advantageous
