Responsibilities
You will lead the commissions team
You will be a subject matter expert for commissions accounting
Collaborate with Sales, Legal, RevOps, FP&A, and Partner Ops
You will be the primary contact for external auditors and support SOX compliance
Oversee accurate commission calculations and reporting
Ensure commission structures align with sales plans and partner agreements
You will manage monthly/quarterly commission cycles and communications
Oversee month-end close for commission accounts
Ensure compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606) and internal policies
Maintain internal controls for commissions
Guide process improvements (e.g., Xactly, CaptivateIQ)
You will partner with IT and Finance Systems on tool integration and scalability
Develop dashboards and KPIs for trend analysis
You will operationalize contract changes for payment and accounting
You will enhance analytics to flag and investigate anomalies promptly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management or lead role
Knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606 revenue recognition standards associated with capitalized sales and partner commissions
Prior experience managing partner or sales commission processes in a SaaS or technology company
Experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite), CRM (e.g., Salesforce), and commission tools (e.g., Xactly)
Familiarity with SOX/internal controls and public company reporting requirements
Expertise in automating and scaling finance operations
Experience using AI and AI-related technologies
