Responsibilities
Prepare and review statutory financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow)
Convert GAAP financials to statutory reporting
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
Handle insurance, reinsurance, and investment entries and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with NAIC guidelines and state insurance department regulations
Maintain and improve internal controls and financial reporting processes
Assist with audits, SOX testing, and Model Audit Rule requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3 to 5 years of insurance accounting or statutory reporting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting principles
Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems
Preferred
Master's degree in Accounting
