Responsibilities

Propose, design, and prototype new security features for the Samsung Android platform in areas such as systems security, malware analysis, leveraging AI for security, and securing on-device AI from attacks

Build and improve tools for automated security analysis of system software on Samsung Android mobile devices, such as bootloaders, ARM TrustZone, Android framework internals, and hypervisors

Required

Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field

Background in security with specialization in at least one of the following areas:

Systems security with knowledge of ARM-based Android, Linux kernel, Trusted execution environments such as ARM TrustZone, or Embedded systems and firmware

Program analysis techniques such as Fuzz testing, Reverse engineering, Symbolic execution, Vulnerability discovery, or Exploit development

AI and security: Securing AI on-device, Leveraging AI for security (e.g., automated vulnerability assessment, detection of malicious behavior)

Malware analysis, triage and detection
