Responsibilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must work with a minimal technical supervision and supplemental engineering support, while responding efficiently to multiple program priorities
Experience in floating RFQ and RFI to suppliers, RFQ analysis and Price finalization based on market price
Must have experience in sourcing tool and award scenario creation
Strong in evaluating supplier costs, solicits competitive bids and quotations
Knowledge about market operating price for various manufacturing commodity
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Good understanding of cost drivers & process drivers of a given commodity parts/sub-assembly
Negotiate cost down, Trade working capital improvements with suppliers
Min. 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role and Strategy development
Capability to interface with senior leadership across regions both internally & externally
In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
Strong costing and analytical skills
Working knowledge of the industry and market conditions
Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques
Good experience working in the procurement department in a related field
Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers
Work closely with Procurement, Engineering and Plant buyers to enable supplier provided savings opportunities
Report out various saving opportunities provided by suppliers to senior management
Strong MS Office skills and PDM/PLM tools
Program governance and Dashboarding for Senior leadership
Willingness to travel to customer/supplier sites on need basis
