Aquent Talent is seeking a Senior Designer for Global Packaging Design to support the strategic creative development and execution of major beauty brand packaging. The role focuses on driving creative innovations and collaborating with the Director of Packaging Design to identify new packaging opportunities.

Responsibilities

Concept Development: Create highly innovative concepts and product designs in line with overall brand strategy

Production Management: Manage the design and production of all product packaging. This includes concept presentations (concept decks, mood boards, drawings, renderings, and models) and managing departmental DTOs and packaging standards

Omni-channel Design: Design across various consumer touchpoints, including the ability to design for specialty-multi and open-sell environments

Prototyping: Partner with comp houses on all presentation comps

Quality & Execution: Oversee and manage packaging artwork and retouching; attend press runs and other production runs to ensure quality

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with all cross-functional departments and attend regular status meetings with various external groups

Team Integration: Work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating effectively with colleagues in Marketing, Packaging Development, 360 Creative, Technical Development, and third-party vendors

Innovation Sourcing: Support with sourcing and utilize outside vendors, artists, and designers for new innovative package solutions

Required

5+ years of related experience in the beauty industry

BA or BFA in Industrial Design, Packaging Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Conceptual thinker with a strong sensibility for shape and 3D visualization

Ability to ideate, develop, present, and execute projects from start to finish with the highest quality

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and on budget; able to adapt to changing priorities

Deep understanding of industrial and manufacturing processes, finishes, and materials

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D CAD/Modelling/rendering in a Mac environment

Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape and current design/fashion trends

Preferred

Expertise in SolidWorks, Rhino, and/or other 3D modeling programs a big plus
