The role involves leading test projects, performing engineering functions related to test facilities, and ensuring successful execution of test projects.

Responsibilities
Provide research and technology engineering associated with the test facility and test project following existing procedures dictating the process for test engineering at the NASA Glenn Research Center
Lead a test project from initial interactions with customer, through requirements development, test concept development and design, and periodic reviews
Responsibilities will include theoretical analyses, definition of experimental requirements, conceptual design and analysis of experiment hardware, test support, and reduction and analysis of data
Support the test planning team, developing the facility interfaces required to successfully execute a test project
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
At least 10 years' experience in engineering
Experienced in space systems design, test, and analysis
Capable of applying testing experience in various space efforts immediately upon entry into the position
Extensive experience with testing at other NASA test facilities
Experience writing requirements documents for NASA test facilities
Strong background in project management
Leadership skills
Test engineering experience
Quality (ISO 9001) and safety assurance experience
