Responsibilities
Review RFQs, customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements
Develop detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, purchased components, and outsourced services
Collaborate with engineering and controls teams to define technical scope and build approach
Obtain supplier quotes and evaluate vendor pricing
Create formal quotations including scope, assumptions, exclusions, and delivery timelines
Track quote revisions, approvals, and customer feedback
Participate in internal quote reviews and risk assessments
Maintain historical cost data to improve future estimates
Support continuous improvement of quoting processes
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of automation systems and machine-building processes
Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints
Strong analytical and costing skills
Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
Ability to manage multiple RFQs simultaneously
Driver's License (Required)
Preferred
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
3+ years of experience in automation quoting, estimating, or machine design preferred
Experience quoting custom automation or capital equipment strongly preferred
