Responsibilities

Conduct SolidWorks tasks including entry level mechanical design, drawings, Enterprise PDM data management, and creation of toolbox features

Assist in performing integrating and collecting engineering data for basic lab-based testing

Ability to machine and fabricate simple prototype test components

Assist engineering personnel in creating PowerPoint presentations and engineering test data reduction using MS Excel, writing reports using MS Word

Other related job duties, as assigned

Required

U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person as defined by 8 USC 1324b (a) (3)

Attending an accredited college/university; working towards a Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree. Undergraduate students must be entering their junior year or later to be eligible for this position

Ability to take direction and work in a highly collaborative team environment

Possess good communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication

SolidWorks, Ansys, and MS Office tools

Working knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulas

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems

Hands-on experience with mechanical components/devices

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)
