Chief of Staff - Political Data
WeVote is a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote nonprofit startup focused on mobilizing voters through technology. The Chief of Staff will act as a strategic partner to the Co-Executive Directors, overseeing programs, fundraising, and operational responsibilities while fostering a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities
Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals
Lead end-to-end OKR process ensuring alignment between organizational goals, team performance, and integrating them into a culture that is both high-performing and supportive
Act as the representative of the Co-EDs in high-level meetings
Assist the Co-EDs in managing relationships with key external stakeholders, including partners, investors, and key clients
Work with the Co-EDs and marketing team to prepare for public appearances, media interviews, and thought leadership opportunities
Coordinate high-profile meetings and events, ensuring that the Co-EDs and leadership team are well-prepared and strategically positioned
Create action plans for Political Data Managers regarding where they should focus their efforts as they collect data about candidates, and endorsements for candidates
Clarify questions about political strategy, and where we should put our energy
Facilitate communication about the political data strategies and accomplishments with other We Vote teams: Community Outreach, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Social, Newsletter Team, Analytics & Ads, Research Team, Internship Program, Recruiting
Review work product from the team and propose strategies for improving efficiency
Provide brief reports in meetings and via email about the status of political data in We Vote
Working with the program managers and the Executive Director, refine and extend We Vote's political campaign strategy, which includes national elements and particular focus on specific states
Pay attention to the biggest candidate and ballot measure races expected in 2026, whether it be state-level, multi-state, or national
Qualification
Required
The Chief of Staff must be thoroughly committed to WeVote's mission
Proven leadership and relationship management experience
At least 3 years of senior management experience
Track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff
Ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams
Set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
