This role involves triaging IT issues, documenting incidents, and ensuring timely communication with users while being available for on-call support during nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for IT support during all hours
Triage technical issues including basic hardware, software, access, and connectivity problems
Provide courteous, professional, and timely customer service to all users
Accurately document incidents, actions taken, and outcomes in the IT ticketing system
Route and escalate issues to the appropriate department or support
Perform basic troubleshooting and resolve common issues when possible
Communicate clearly with users regarding issue status, expectations, and next steps
Respond promptly to alerts, incidents, and service requests during assigned on-call periods
Follow IT policies, escalation paths, and service level expectations

Qualification

Required

Basic knowledge of IT systems, hardware, software, and networking concepts
Strong troubleshooting, triage, and organizational skills
Pursuit of Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, computer hardware/networking

Preferred

Prior IT help desk or technical support experience
Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Knowledge of Windows environments
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Dependable and punctual with on-call responsibilities
