They are seeking a motivated Research Associate 1 (Contractor) to participate in cutting-edge research projects, coordinating and executing Single Molecule Tracking experiments on automated systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with scientists, RAs, and automation engineers to execute, troubleshoot, and optimize SMT screening campaigns and processes on Eikon’s automated systems
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to protocols
Perform a variety of laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, cell culture, molecular biology, and data acquisition
Generate high quality screening data by performing consistent operations from week to week
Report process status and deviations to the appropriate individuals and teams
Physically set-up and take down the systems and all associated dependencies

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 1 year lab experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related field
Experience with sterile technique and basic wet-lab skills including media preparation, pipetting, and biological sample handling
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and reliable experimental results
Demonstrated time management skills
Excellent communication skills, facilitating effective interaction with team members, and contributing to a collaborative scientific environment
Adaptable and responsive to evolving research priorities and challenges in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience with high throughput screening, automated liquid handlers, data analysis software and automated lab equipment software (VWorks) is a plus
