Release Train Engineer/Integration Lead

They are seeking a Senior Principal Functional Analyst / Release Train Engineer to lead and coach teams in implementing SAFe practices, manage program execution, and ensure integration across teams in a large-scale Agile environment.

Responsibilities
Lead and coach teams and leadership in implementing and maturing SAFe practices across the enterprise
Partner with senior leaders to align Agile execution with organizational strategy and Lean-Agile principles
Enable Lean Budgeting and support financial alignment with Agile delivery models
Serve as a servant leader to Agile Release Trains, ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery
Build and maintain program-level roadmaps in partnership with Product Management
Facilitate SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, and program-level retrospectives
Coordinate and align delivery activities across multiple task orders and ARTs
Manage cross-team and cross-task-order dependencies to ensure cohesive, end-to-end solutions
Define and maintain integration strategies, processes, and tooling
Oversee integration testing and delivery of fully functioning, integrated systems
Provide hands-on coaching to RTEs, Product Managers, Scrum Masters, and Agile teams
Mentor Agile coaches and Scrum Masters to strengthen enterprise Agile capabilities
Deliver SAFe training sessions and workshops to reinforce best practices
Identify and mitigate risks, impediments, and bottlenecks impacting delivery
Support enterprise change management initiatives tied to Agile transformation
Act as a liaison between delivery teams and executive stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and Lean-Agile governance
Define and track Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, lead time, ART health)
Conduct Agile maturity assessments and drive actionable improvement plans
Promote DevOps practices, automation, and continuous delivery pipelines
Collaborate with System Architects and Product Leadership to optimize value streams
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field
SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification – required
10+ years of Agile coaching experience across SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean frameworks
8+ years supporting large-scale, complex Agile environments
Proven experience leading enterprise-level Agile and SAFe transformations
Strong expertise in Lean Portfolio Management and Agile Release Trains
Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, or similar
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive-level stakeholder engagement skills
Preferred
Experience coaching senior executives and guiding cultural transformation initiatives
Demonstrated success scaling Agile across large, distributed organizations
Advanced knowledge of Agile metrics and performance optimization
Expertise facilitating large-scale PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, and executive retrospectives
Strong background in enterprise change management and continuous improvement initiatives
