Responsibilities
Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information
Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services
Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions
Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal
Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources
Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations
Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties
Qualification
Required
Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation
Completion of high school or equivalent
Patient Interaction: Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information
Scheduling: Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services
Support: Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions
Technology: Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal
Financial Advocacy: Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources
Compliance: Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations
Admin Tasks: Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73
Preferred
Registration And Medical Records Experience
Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills
Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role
Knowledge of medical terminology
Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems
