Environmental Services Tech - PRN

Avem Health Partners is seeking an Environmental Services Tech for a PRN position primarily on weekends. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in the facility, including patient rooms and common areas, while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department
Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner
Completes work assignments in a timely manner
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
Uses and maintains equipment properly
Maintains and adheres to housekeeping detail standards
Assists visitors with directions whenever requested
Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors
Reports safety hazards as appropriate
Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
Replenishes supplies
Follows all infection prevention and control practices, including Standard Precautions, Transmission-Based Precautions and hand hygiene
Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties
Works day, evening or night shift as assigned
Ability to do work on his/her own with normal supervision
Observes safety precautions at all times
Wears identification while on duty; uses the computerized punch time system correctly
Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, health plans and staff
Removes soiled linen
Delivers and unloads clean linens
Sets up meeting rooms as needed
Other duties as requested

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duties satisfactorily
This job requires visual abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact to perform duties
Physical dexterity to perform repetitive duties
Subject to working conditions including ability to stoop, climb, and handle tools and equipment as required
Able to operate heavy machinery and lift 50+ pounds repetitively
Constant walking and standing are required
Frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting are required
Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
Must be able to work around cleaning products

Preferred

High school diploma or GED preferred
1-year experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
