Murray's Cheese is seeking its first Inventory Control Manager to lead inventory control operations with a focus on perishable foods. The role involves developing strategies to optimize stock levels, analyzing data for demand forecasting, and collaborating with teams to ensure accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement perishable inventory control policies, procedures, and strategies to align with business objectives

Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and use forecasting models to support demand prediction and optimize stock levels

Oversee day-to-day inventory operations, including stock tracking, lot traceability, reconciliation, and audits to ensure accuracy

Mentor and train location staff in inventory best practices, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) to ensure smooth operations and optimal inventory flow

Implement and maintain inventory management tools and systems for tracking, analysis, and reporting

Identify and implement cost-saving measures and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses within the inventory process

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports to management on inventory accuracy and efficiency

Supports the Food Safety team in all food safety procedures. Ensures the proper rotation of items in the warehouse and that all food safety policies are being adhered to by all team members

Participates in ongoing education to update job knowledge
