Responsibilities
Conduct research in the areas of Calibration and Validation of satellite remote sensing through coding and field work
Perform field vicarious calibration of on-orbit sensor, using traditional calibration techniques
Manage Field calibration deployments to successfully support customers and grants, and develop calibration reports for such
Assist in guiding and directing research students in the lab
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a field closely related to remote sensing or GIS completed by first day of employment
Minimum of two years' experience in radiometric sensor calibration or related GIS application using remotely sensed optical imaging data
Experience working with Python and Matlab
Ability to work within a team environment
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred
Experience in/or knowledge of characterization and calibration of optical imaging sensors, preferred satellite or airborne based
