Sparks Group has teamed with a renowned government transportation contractor and is searching for a qualified, committed and motivated Sr. AP Accountant. The Sr. AP Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing process improvements within the Accounts Payables team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze Accounts Payables, journal entries, income statement, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports for the AP team on a regular basis

Most notably, the ideal candidate must have strong Vendor Master, Vendor Setup, 1042/1099/W9 experience

Analyze statements and review/approve any proposed adjustments, prepare audit schedules and communicate with auditors

Assist with implementing highly-visible process improvements within the Accounts Payables team procedures to increase efficiency

Apply knowledge of laws and regulations and ensure compliance to regulations, policies and procedures

Provide input and support the development of verbal, analytical, and visual presentation materials for Executive Management

Support multiple projects, identify opportunities, and carry out ad hoc tasks
