Enterprise Supplier Risk Analyst

Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of Virginia Housing’s first formal Supplier Management and Third-Party Risk program
Oversee the entire vendor lifecycle—from sourcing support and due diligence through onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding
Ensure suppliers meet contractual, operational, cybersecurity, financial, and regulatory requirements
Design supplier governance frameworks
Implement risk-tiering methodologies
Drive compliance with industry standards
Safeguard Virginia Housing’s operations while delivering supplier value and mitigating third-party risks
Qualification
Required
Ability to read/interpret contracts, statements of work, and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
High degree of self-management, initiative, ownership, and comfortable as the sole subject matter expert for supplier oversight
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, assessments, and deadlines simultaneously
Collaborative, relationship-oriented approach with the ability to build trust across departments
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, risk management, contract management, or business administration preferred, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, purchasing, contract management, or third-party risk management within a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, housing finance, government entity, or similar), is preferred
Experience with supplier governance or TPRM programs strongly preferred
Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, IT, InfoSec, Risk, and business owners
