Responsibilities

Monitor expenditures for all departmental accounts (State [OTPS and Personnel], RF, UBF, Faculty Start-up, endowed chair funds, etc.) ensuring that department stays within budget for all accounts
Prepare and/or verify necessary budgetary paperwork to support expenditure needs, travel reimbursements, mentor teacher stipends, etc
Manage adjunct assignments against budget and faculty workload analysis
Assist and advise Assistant Dean for Teacher Education in developing and monitoring department course scheduling policies and procedures in accordance with GSE and University guidelines, policies, and procedures
Update (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) course schedules for department in University system ensuring there is appropriate instructional personnel (faculty, adjuncts, TAs) and the instructional budget has not been exceeded. All internal GSE schedules as well as University wide deadlines need to be met
Monitor course enrollments to ensure minimum enrollment numbers are attained
Create systems to monitor student progress through a variety of program benchmarks including early clinical experiences
Facilitate the OEP admissions interview process
Coordinate OEP events including our certification ceremony, meetings with residents, meetings with school partners, etc
Manage Brightspace for UB Teacher Residents
Maintain listservs for students, staff, mentors, and alumni
Function as the initial point of contact for daily OEP office operations, fielding inquiries regarding the OEP program from students, faculty, staff, liaisons, cooperating teachers, and principals
