$20/hr - $23/hrSoni is seeking an Audio Visual Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for classroom and presentation technologies. The role involves supporting day-to-day AV operations, video conferencing, and digital signage systems to ensure high-quality technology experiences for faculty, staff, and events.

Responsibilities
Provide daily AV and computer technology support for technology-enabled classrooms and presentation spaces
Support video conferencing and hybrid meeting setups, including Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams, BYOD laptop connections, and audio systems
Perform routine system checks to ensure AV equipment is fully operational (microphones, batteries, computers, connections, updates)
Assist with troubleshooting AV, media, and computer system issues; coordinate equipment replacements as needed
Support digital signage systems, including account setup and coordination with IT teams and vendors
Communicate technology issues and resolutions to relevant operational and academic stakeholders
Monitor AV supplies and coordinate ordering of equipment and consumables
Assist in maintaining classroom and event readiness, including basic room condition checks
Schedule AV vendor support and manage lecture capture and event recording requests
Maintain documentation, room technology records, and troubleshooting logs
Manage equipment returns and warranty processes
Qualification
Required
Basic knowledge of AV system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments; experience with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office 365
Willingness to work occasional early mornings or evenings to support special events
Strong interest in technology, with comfort supporting both hardware and software
Reliable, calm under pressure, and service-oriented
Preferred
Experience with AV technologies such as Logitech Rally systems, Crestron, QSC, Shure, and Sennheiser microphones
Familiarity with digital signage platforms and room reservation software
Prior AV or technical support experience
