Apt is seeking a hands-on finance executive to lead and scale their growing accounting & finance organization. The Head of Finance will manage a team, optimize costs, and ensure the finance function is aligned with the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop an accounting & finance team of four; elevate performance and accountability

Own core finance functions: FP&A, cash forecasting, cash reconciliation, and reporting

Own core acting functions to include, monthly closing, balance sheet integrity & reconciliations, internal controls, & standardization across entities

Own core customer service functions to include WIP Management & expedient order & invoice processing

Optimize the organization, improving costs as a percentage of gross profit

Maintain a holistic view of the business while partnering closely with Sales and Operations

Spend the first 90 days cross-training with Sales and Ops to understand revenue drivers and workflows

Drive adoption of finance technology and scalable systems (Sage / NetSuite experience preferred)

Act as a problem-solver with strong ownership mentality — willing to roll up sleeves when needed

Required

Senior finance leadership experience (Director, VP, or similar)

Experience in small or growth-stage companies where leaders are hands-on

Proven success building, scaling, and optimizing finance teams

Strong cash forecasting and cash management experience

Comfortable doing the work, not just overseeing it

Ownership mindset and strong problem-solving skills

Learner / explorer mentality with finance technology

Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution

Cross-functional curiosity and collaboration skills

Preferred

Sage / NetSuite experience preferred
