The role focuses on developing high-performance user interfaces for a web-based platform that visualizes and analyzes large-scale spatiotemporal datasets derived from satellite and airborne sensors.
Responsibilities
Building and maintaining modern front-end applications with React and TypeScript
Developing reusable, well-structured UI components with performance in mind
Turning product requirements and design concepts into intuitive user experiences
Integrating front-end features with backend APIs and asynchronous data pipelines
Contributing to UI architecture, performance optimisation, and shared component libraries
Working closely with product, design, and engineering in a fast-moving startup environment
Qualification
Required
4+ years of experience building web applications with React and TypeScript
Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and async data handling
Experience working within larger codebases and improving existing systems
Solid knowledge of modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and APIs
Familiarity with modern front-end tooling, testing, and build systems
Preferred
Experience with web mapping libraries (Mapbox GL JS or similar)
Exposure to WebGL or browser-based 3D rendering
Experience with performance tuning in React
Work on design systems or reusable UI libraries
Good UI/UX instincts and experience collaborating with designers
