Responsibilities
Perform daily sample prep, nucleic acid extraction, library prep, PCR, and NGS sequencing
Design, execute, analyze, and document verification and validation test cases
Support system integration, testing, and performance evaluation
Troubleshoot sequencing instruments and wet-bench workflows
Analyze experimental data and document findings, SOPs, and technical reports
Assist with hardware and subcomponent testing
Support customer operations, including run monitoring, defect documentation, and issue escalation
Support installed instrument fleets and occasional customer site visits
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement
Maintain accurate laboratory records following best laboratory practices
Qualification
Required
BS, MS, or PhD in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field
1–5 years of relevant experience (based on education)
Hands-on laboratory experience required
PCR experience required
Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, Git, or similar tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
3+ years hands-on experience with NGS workflows
Strong understanding of DNA & molecular biology
Experience troubleshooting NGS platforms or prototype instruments
Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE), ANOVA, regression analysis, SPC
Exposure to microfluidics, semiconductor-based sensing, or surface chemistry
Background in biotechnology or medical device development
