Industrial Program Services Technician I

The Industrial Program Services Technician I will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repairs of conveyor belting and related equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations in mining and industrial applications.

Responsibilities
Assist in preparing conveyor belts for mechanical or vulcanized splicing
Help with measuring, cutting, grinding, buffing, and skiving belt materials
Set up and break down vulcanizing equipment, tools, and work areas
Support vulcanized splice processes under supervision
Operate basic hand and power tools: grinders, cutters, drills, impact guns, etc
Follow belt installation procedures: tracking, tensioning, and alignment
Perform housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area
Complete basic field paperwork (splice reports, belt logs, QAQC checks)
Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and materials
Always follow MSHA/OSHA safety rules, job hazard analyses, and lockout/tagout
Assist in troubleshooting belt damage, mistracking, and common conveyor issues
Ability to adapt to work being performed from belts to preventive maintenance
Learn preventive maintenance, change roller, pulleys, chutes, bearings, shafts, etc
Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Perform other duties as directed
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
No prior experience required
Ability to meet requirements for industrial or mining sites required
Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company's Driving Policy
Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings
