Responsibilities

This role supports Combat Systems Engineering in accordance with the Defense Acquisition Guide, providing systems engineering support across the full system life cycle of naval warfare systems
You will support the NSWCDD V Department with Advanced Ship and Combat System Integration Engineering, including:
AEGIS modernization and in-service combat systems engineering
DDG-1000 mission systems engineering
Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) engineering
Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV), and Frigate combat systems
AEGIS Combat Direction System and Ballistic Missile Defense systems
Operations and force analysis
LBTTS planning and activation
Enterprise systems engineering support
Modeling and simulation
Combat system virtualization for the U.S. Marine Corps
Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
Future surface Navy combat systems

Qualification

Model-Based Systems EngineeringEngineering certification policiesObjective Quality EvidenceEngineering degreeTechnical experienceSoft skills

Required

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, or a technical discipline OR four (4) years of demonstrated relevant technical experience
Four (4) years of experience applying engineering and certification policies to support new technologies, critical experiments, and emerging development efforts
Experience using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) from certification planning through decision milestones (e.g., SWIRs, IPRs, MRAs, CSCPs)
Experience managing and disseminating Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) through web-based tools and maintaining complete records management

Preferred

Secret Clearance
Prior experience supporting NSWC Dahlgren or NSWC Crane
