Responsibilities
Oversee and coach the direct labor force; support staff in meeting daily targets and productivity goals
Perform hands-on warehouse tasks while guiding team performance; open and close facilities following security procedures
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Inspect work areas regularly to ensure safety, sanitation, and adherence to food safety/quality standards
Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to monitor workflow, allocate resources, and drive efficiency
Act as a link between associates and Operations Supervisor, ensuring clear direction and feedback
Opens and closes facilities as needed—includes any associated security procedures
Assists team members in achieving daily operational targets and objectives, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency
Regularly performs general inspections to ensure the workspace meets safety and operational standards
Ensures adherence to food safety and quality guidelines, maintaining regulatory compliance and high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Is responsible for the security and application of good warehousing inventory practices
Complies with all government and company safety rules
Is responsible for the safety of employees in their assigned area
Reports promptly to supervision any safety violations of workers, safety noncompliance of facilities and equipment, and other safety issues
Is able to operate, train, and coach others on all equipment used in their area of responsibility
Qualification
Required
Strong command of the English language, enabling clear and effective communication both verbally and in writing
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
Ability to push, lift, carry, pull, and/or throw up to 50 pounds
Preferred
Familiarity with MHE
High school diploma or GED
